~~At 3:45pm, Harford County Department of Emergency Services dispatched theJMVFC to a motor vehicle collision in the area of MD-152/Mountain Road and Old Joppa Road in Joppa, Harford County. JMVFC Medic 892 arrived at 3:52pm and reported a two vehicle collision on MD-152 just north of Old Joppa Road. JMVFC Engine 815 arrived shortly after and reported two people trapped and another patient unconscious. Additional resources were requested bringing a fire engine and paramedic unit from Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, a fire engine and heavy rescue truck from Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co., and a paramedic unit from The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Engine 815 (rescue engine) began stabilizing the vehicles so they could use the HURST Jaws of Life to extricate the patients. Within 20 minutes, both patients were extricated and in the care of paramedics. A Maryland State Police - Aviation Command medevac was called to transport a critically injured adult female to University of Maryland Medical Center Shock Trauma Center. An adult male was taken by JMVFC paramedic unit to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Trauma Center in serious but stable condition and another adult male was taken by BAVFC paramedic unit also to Bayview Trauma Center in serious but stable condition. Maryland State Police was on scene investigation the crash. MD-152 was closed for about 2 hours.
